RunRev LiveCode

Runrev

RunRev didn´t have a booth at Macworld expo, but hosted a get together for their users in a bar two blocks south of the Moscone center. Much more important: you can use their LiveCode, which started as a Hypercard clone on various UNIX systems, to develop software for Mac, iOS and Android in a way that ordinary users can use it to develop their own software. Highly recommended! Licenses start at less than 100$.

Ted Nelson at Internet Archive

Tednelson

Ted Nelson at the Internet Archive! For the first time in my life I was speechless with awe. When I asked him, how he got the idea of hypermedia (in 1963!), he simply told me: it was obvious! Another quote by Ted Nelson: I hope, that in our archives and historical filings of the future, we do not allow the techie traditions of hierarchy and false regularity to be superimposed to the teeming, fantastic disorderlyness of human life.
