Update 04/16: there were no incompatibilities between blogger and flickr. The problem was, that flickr did not accept image uploads via email for some time. These problems should be fixed, now. Hopefully!

NodeBox 2D visual output for MacOSX using Python
NodeBox is a free MacOSX application that lets you create 2D visuals (static, animated or interactive) using Python programming code and export them as a PDF or a QuickTime movie. BTW: wherever I look in the last few months, Python seems to be the programming language to look at right now.

using Google Gmail to reduce spam?
I am thinking about trying out Gmail to reduce the amount of spam, that I have to remove manually. I will just forward all my emails from my regular account to a test account at Gmail and see, if the Google spam filters are really able to significantly reduce the amount spam, as so many people are saying.

Sharkoon DriveLink with silicon frames
The Sharkoon DriveLink is an external USB2 adaptor for IDE and SATA hard drives. For 27 Euros you get all the cables, power supply and two sturdy silicon frames for 2.5" and 3.5" hard drives. The drives can simply be inserted into the silicon frames, where they are securely protected against shocks and vibrations and are easier to handle. Does not support MacOSX right now, according to the website. I will try to test one with MacOSX ASAP.

worlds smallest wallet by using PocketMod
I am currently developing the world´s smallest and lightest wallet by using paper, Scotch tape (Tixo for German speaking readers) and PocketMod. Size will be slightly larger than a credit card (8.5*5.5mm). Right now I use RagTime for the PocketMod print outs, as PagePacker currently only supports US letter sized paper.

Kleines Handbuch des Verhörens in German
There is a new German language book from Kunstmann Verlag called Der weiße Neger Wumbaba kehrt zurück, Kleines Handbuch des Verhörens 2. It talks about the many possibilities to phonetically misunderstand common phrases in a funny way. Highly recommended reading, but only if you are really fluent in German. BTW: there are even some English language examples included: the Iron Butterfly record "In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida" was a misunderstanding and should have been called originally "In the Garden of Eden".
