Hans Janitschek died
On 2/21 Hans Janitschek passed away. According to Austrian newspaper Krone he broke down in front of the UNO headquarter in New York. He was 73. I had the honor and pleasure to know him almost exactly 17 years now, since I met him the first time in New York city in January 1991. I will miss him.
Just found out about the funeral: it will take place on 3/12 at 2pm in St. Martin near Lofer in Austria. The "Seelenmesse" will be read on 3/13 at 11am in the Jesuitenkirche, Dr. Ignaz Seipel Platz in Vienna, Austria.
Update: the New York Times has a guestbook, that is open for at least one year and at iCastNews.com you find quite a lot of the interviews he did including his farewell message.

We met Hans 20 years ago in NY. He was a man of outstanding integrity as well as an inspiration to stand up for what is right. He will be missed.
