usbnoddingdog
The essential USB peripheral: the usbnoddingdog connects to your PC via USB. In guard mode it uses its motion sensors to detect movement and sets off an alarm bark. The email alert system lets you know when you have mail. An event calendar includes 10 preprogrammed songs, 10 preprogrammed barks and you can program your own settings. Unfortunately right now you stilll need a PC with Windows OS, but I think they will support other OSs soon. No information on pricing on their website, but I hope it is less than the french based Nabaztag.
Update: just found out about the price: 20 pounds.

For less than 24$ Salling Clicker turns mobile phones and PDAs into high end remote controls for Macs and PCs. Similar custom solutions can costs way above 1000$ and are not as easily programmed and not supported by such a huge developer community. Highly recommended!

Nokia N91 includes MMC slot?
I heard a rumor, that the long announced Nokia N91 will include a MMC slot in addition to its 4GB hard drive, too. As much as I like MMCs, but right now Nokia uses MMCs, RS-MMCs and microSD slots in its various mobile phones. I wonder why they don´t just use normal SD slots for all their devices. It would make life so much simpler for their users, not to mention the huge cost savings when buying flash memory for your Nokia device.
Update: in the meantime I found out, that this was just a rumor. The Nokia N91 won´t include any flash card slot, only the built in hard drive. Sorry for generating any confusion.
