Prowl is a Growl client for the iPhone. Notifications from your Mac or Windows computer can be sent to your iPhone over push. Right now there are some problems with push notifications on jailbroken iPhones, where the activation of the iPhone has not been done with an Apple approved SIM card. Cost is less than 3$.
