official iPhone SDK from Apple

official iPhone SDK from Apple
The official Apple iPhone SDK is available now for free. Officially runs only on Intel Macs with MacOSX 10.5. Joining the iPhone developer program, which will provide technical support, code testing and allow distribution through the “App Store” costs $100. App Store will work over both EDGE and WiFi It will also work via iTunes, but wireless will likely be the preferred medium of install. No idea yet about international AppStores. The iPhone 2.0 software update, which allows end-users to run iPhone applications and includes a lot of enterprise-related enhancements, such as support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync to provide secure, over-the-air push email, contacts and calendars as well as remote wipe, and the addition of Cisco IPsec VPN for encrypted access to private corporate networks, will be released as a free update in June. Still no word on select/copy/paste, though.
