US war on terror is mostly a war on tourists
Directly from Gizmodo, although everybody I talked to, who travels to the US told me the same: the US war on terror is mostly a war on tourists.

Even before 9/11 I did not always enjoy my conversations with customs officers when arriving into S.F. - sure they would say "enjoy your stay" at the end of the conversation, but they quite often made me sweat for five minutes first while they turned over the pages of my passport, and asked why I visited so often. "Was I absolutely sure the purpose of my trip was for pleasure only?" "If they were to look through my bag they wouldn't find any resumes would they?" etc.
Happening to like S.F. did not seem to be a sufficient explanation.
