Dell Axim X51v as a VNC client for MacOSX

Dell Axim X51v as a VNC client for MacOSX After a clean install of MacOSX 10.4 Tiger on my PowerBook 15" I installed PTvncWM5.arm.CAB on my new Dell Axim X51v. And believe it or not: I can control my Mac via VNC from my Windows Mobile 5 equipped Dell Axim X51v. Absolutely stunning! Too bad that Palm gave up developing great new hardware (and a multitasking OS!) years ago...

I had a HTC Universal a few days, but at that time my Mac was really messed up, and the VNC client not yet available as a .cab file, so I did not get it working. About a week ago I did a clean install of my Mac, installed the VNC client as a .cab file and everything worked on the first try.
BTW: if the screen is two small for you: either set the resolution of your Mac to 800*600 or even 640*480 or

use the Zoom Option in the VNC client. It gives you a thumbnail view of your entiry Mac desktop and a bigger view at the same time. Try it out. Works great.

Cursor control is via pen (or fingernail on my Dell). According the keys: just open the keyboard panel in MacOSX and take a lookm which keys are pressed. I don´t know if there are keys on the HTC Universal, that you can use as Command and Option keys for MacOSX. Just contact the VNC developer and ask them, if they can redirect some HTC keys to be used as Command and Option keys.

Critiques have been raving about the new touch screen technology for a while now. With Apple introducing the iPhone not long ago and other HTC cell phone touch screen models, it really is stirring up a commotion. Which is to say that the commotion isn't really negative. Then again, certain touch buttons can most definitely spark an aggravating fuse in my head just knowing that @ times I'm not really pressing the button myself, it just does it alone! Nevertheless, the invention itself is really extravagant, but when something like this enters the market, as good as it is, change sometimes can be a bit disturbing, at least I think so.
